Ready-made plugins: Chevereto, WordPress and phpBB — moderation without writing code

Until now, plugging in modwall required a few lines of code — not many, but code nonetheless. From today, the administrator of a forum, gallery or WordPress site plugs in image moderation without a developer: download the plugin, paste the API key, and that's it. All three integrations are free and work with every plan, including Free.

Chevereto — auto-approving gallery uploads

Chevereto is removing its built-in ModerateContent integration in V5 — and that was the only ready-made moderation solution for self-hosted galleries. Our bridge takes over that role: you turn on the native "Moderate uploads" mode, and the bridge scans pending images and approves the safe ones. Suspicious ones stay in the Chevereto moderation queue you already know.

The package comes in two variants: a docker-compose container (VPS) and a single PHP script + cron for shared hosting — no Docker, no root, uploaded over FTP like any other script.

WordPress — quarantine instead of deletion

Every image uploaded to the media library is scanned after thumbnails are generated. Suspicious files are moved to quarantine — they disappear from public URLs, but nothing is deleted: in the dashboard you get a Modwall panel with a preview, model results and Approve/Delete buttons. Moderator decisions from the modwall queue come back automatically via WP-Cron.

phpBB — native approval queue (MCP)

Image attachments are scanned when a post is saved. A post with a flagged image goes to the approval queue where your moderators already work anyway — zero new tools to learn. Every scan leaves a named trace in the admin log.

Three rules common to every plugin

• A human decides. The plugin detects, scores and routes for review — it does not remove content automatically.
• Fail-safe. An API failure or an exhausted quota = the content waits for approval. A failure never publishes an unscanned image.
• The EU or your server. The modwall cloud processes in the EU and stores nothing; every plugin has a configurable API URL, so it also works with a self-host installation — the photos never leave your infrastructure at all.

Every plugin starts in dry-run mode: for the first week it only logs decisions, changing nothing — you watch the results on your own traffic and only then turn on enforcement. Thresholds, categories and mode are set in the moderation profile pinned to the key, so the configuration lives in one place.
